Our Vision
The vision of Fifth Church is to be an
attractive and inviting community that brings people who are
presently on the outside into life-changing relationships
with Jesus and His followers. We are doing this by updating
our current facilities and launching a new congregation.

Crocodile Dock
Mark your calendars for an amazing week of fun at Fifth.
Crocodile Dock not only is a place where you hear incredible

amazing songs, play wild and crazy games, but best of all,
learn to see God in action every day right in front of you.
Come join other kids ages 3-4th grade on July 13-16 from 9
to 11:30am and see why Crocodile Dock rocks! Contact Krista
Batdorff at 245-9247 with questions or to volunteer. Click

Opportunities to Serve
Summer Nursery Help
We are looking for summer helpers (especially in July
and August) in the nursery. If you think you can help in this
important ministry, please sign up for a Sunday in the church
lobby or call the office at 245-9247. We need at least three
people for each week.
Garden Team
The Garden Team has made amazing progress renovating
several of the garden beds around church. Thank you for
donating perennial plants that are now growing around church!
Now that the LONG, cold winter days are behind us we
are getting ready for this next growing season. We invite you
to join the fun by grabbing a shovel and garden gloves and
help us beautify the beds. Any volunteer is welcome, for any
length of time. Please contact Lori Kane.
Diaper & Formula Coupons
The Women's Leadership Team would like to invite all
the women of Fifth to help our young mother by
collecting diaper and formula coupons for them to use.
The coupons can be placed in a marked basket in the
nursery.
Use Your Gifts!
Contact the church office or Bruce Mulder for additional opportunities to serve.

Inter-Faith Hospitality Network
Thank you, thank you, thank you to the great team of people
who enabled Fifth to once again successfully host the
Inter-faith Hospitality Network families (IHN). Together we
provided over 110 meals, washed over 20 loads of laundry,
logged over 30 hours of worker power in set-up, tear-down,
and clean-up, and over 150 hours in the over-night hosting
of our guests.
Who can count up the additional hours spent buying
groceries, installing a converter box for the week's use,
locating, transporting and hooking up a washer/dryer set,
preparing the meals, redecorating the Green House kitchen,
(it looks so cheerful!) and setting up activities to engage
the children, eight of whom were between the ages of 8 and
12. Who but the Lord knows the hours spent in prayer for the
safety and success of our guests this week that they were
with us, as well as for the health of our workers. Thank
you, Fifth Church, for providing a wide and rich base of
support from which we can draw when these weeks of service
come around. May you all be blessed for being such a
blessing! |
