Ministries: Women

All women at Fifth Church and in the broader community have a place in a wide range of groups that seek to grow spiritually and build caring relationships. Women in all walks of life - from young mothers to church leaders to senior ladies - fulfill specialized ministries that lift each other up in God's love.

Mom's Time Out
Mothers of babies, toddlers and preschoolers are invited to join us for another exciting year of Mom's Time Out. Let's Simplify !!  Did you know that clutter is more than just your pre-baby jeans and old shoes? Clutter is anything that keeps us from accomplishing the work God has planned for us. Journey with us this year at Mom's Time Out as we clear out the clutter and search for simplicity. Do you have preschool or younger aged kids? Do you have a desire to spend time with other moms, share your faith and your friendship?  When? Tuesday's beginning September 9, 2008 from 9:15-11:00 am at church. Childcare is offered for a $5 donation. Contact: Melissa Schoenborn.

Apples of Gold
Women who can cook help women looking for new recipes in a six-week program that uses food to open up discussion on issues such as marriage, raising children and purposeful homemaking. We spend the first hour cooking, the second hour studying the Bible and the third hour eating our food. We aim to nurture each other as we learn what it means to serve with a joyful spirit and grow closer together with friends and God. When? January, 2008  Contact: Betsy Broene

Circle Bible Studies
Monthly Bible studies called Circles give women opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship and service. Through Circles, Fifth women reach out with encouragement and prayer for all missionaries supported by Fifth Church, as well as to the members with special needs. This year we will be studying "On Being Reformed-Distinctive Characteristics and Common Misunderstandings" by I. John Hesselink.  When? Third Tuesday of the month beginning September 30 through June at 9:30 am or 7:30 pm at church.  Contact: Lois Loetz (9:30 am) or Sue Atkinson (7:30 pm)

Women's Prayer Ministry
A poster is set up in the church lobby for sign up to be a part of one of the prayer cells for intentional prayer, beginning in September. If you have questions or would like more information please contact Kathy McConnell or Joyce Flanagan. Sponsored by your Women's Ministry Team.
