Ministries and Outreach

People of all ages at Fifth Church engage in a variety of activities seeking to share and spread the love of God in celebration of his kingdom. We strive to develop our God-given gifts so that we may become a mature Christian community, able to sow seeds for faithful living among ourselves and others in response to God's grace. We invite you to join us by accepting God's call to explore your own purpose in his creation.

 

  • We offer many different ministries for children all the way through 6th grade. Click on the image above or the links to the left to  discover how we are helping children grow as disciples of Jesus.

  • Junior High @ Fifth is our student ministry for young people in 7th and 8th grade. During the school-year, we meet on Sunday mornings after worship and then on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the JHAF room. Click on the image above to find out how to get plugged in!

  • Youth at Fifth is our senior high ministry. During the school-year, we offer a Sunday morning class after worship upstairs in the YAF room. Then we meet as house churches in the evenings, except one time a month we get together as a large group for pizza, games and discussion. We love to serve our community both locally and globally. On top of that, we will take the occasional retreat adventure from time to time. Click above to get plugged in! 

  • A new ministry is emerging for college-aged people at Fifth. As of Fall 2011, we have a gathering right after worship that is a time for connecting, prayer and dialogue. 

    In addition, we are partnering with InterVarsity to help those college students who are ready to lead their own groups on campus around Grand Rapids. Click on the image above to find out more! 

  • Each Sunday, we offer different learning events for adults after the worship service. Click on the image above, and/or click on the calendar to see what new topics, speakers and group learning events available this year! 


  • With the retirement of Rev. Jack Cooper from the position of Senior Adult Ministries Coordinator, we are on the hunt for a new leader or leadership team to guide the ministry of our more experienced saints.

  • At Fifth, we have both a global mission team and groups that are actively seeking ways to practice mission locally in our city and state. Click on the image above to find out more! 

  • We have totally revamped what used to be called "small groups" here at Fifth! Our LIFE Groups meet weekly together, pray together, and much more.
